New Year, New Attitude

A belated happy new year to you and your family

this year, i don't really want to make a bunch of resolutions.

i want to be able to lose weight after the baby is born.
i want to be more organized.
i want to get up earlier in the morning to do extra things,
like put make up on, fix my hair, go for a walk or make better breakfast.

i want to do those things,
but i probably won't,
so i'm not going to resolve to do them.
besides, i'm ok with not doing them.

none of them are really important.

this year, i will, however, try to be a kinder person.
i will try to do as much as i can to help others who need it.
i will try to be sincere in all of my words and actions.

these are thing that matter.
these are things i want to teach my children.

We spent our New Year's Eve at home, watching TV and drinking sparkling cider. None of us saw midnight, but it was perfect.  How did you ring in the New Year?

  1. Much the same. Watching old home movies of my husband growing up... Kinley decided to party till 11:30 and then I went to bed just after midnight. No celebrations whatsoever. I'm getting old.

  2. We played the Wii and sent the kids to bed at 9:00. Husband and I played the Wii some more and then watched a DVD about our Texas Rangers in 2010. Went to bed at 12:15. It was pretty perfect.
